Poster Condition Grading

  • MINT (A+) - A poster in mint condition will look brand new as if it was just printed. It will be free of any damage, and blemishes and have no fading.

  • NEAR MINT (A) - A poster in this condition may have minor imperfections in the border area only. The poster will be free of blemishes otherwise.

  • VERY GOOD (A-) - A poster in very good condition may have blemishes in the border and up to approximately one inch of the poster's artwork. There may be small tears in the artwork around the border or in fold lines. It may also have minor fading. A poster in this condition may show limited use. 

  • GOOD (B) - A poster in good condition may have tears or small holes that measure no larger than one inch on the edges. Pieces of the border may be torn or missing or have holes. There may be mild fading of the work and damage to the artwork. The major focus of the artwork would be free of blemishes or damage. 

  • FAIR (C) - A poster in fair condition may have major blemishes that directly affect the artwork of the poster, this would include evidence of major use or significant fading. The poster is recognizable and the artwork is primarily intact. Posters in this condition would benefit from major restoration.

  • POOR (D) - Posters in poor condition are in a dire straight. They may be brittle and crack upon handling. Posters in this condition would require major restoration.
